A lady from our church saw a young boy who attends CCC on the odd occasion. As she was chatting with him, he noticed that the boy was flexing his foot, as if it was causing him pain. She asked him if she could pray for him and after he had a quick glance around to see if anyone was watching, he agreed. So she prayed, and when she finished the boy was grinning and said the pain was better. So she asked him if the pain was completely gone, and when he said no, she prayed again. This time, the grin on the boy's face grew even larger and after testing the foot by walking around, he declared that the pain had gone! She told him to tell his mum that God healed him, and sent the happy child on his way.
God also cares about the health of our beloved pets. One girl has a dog that had a nasty infection around his eye. It had been red and sore for a few weeks and she asked her dad to take the animal to the vet for treatment. Her dad insisted that the dog would be fine without needing to go to the vet because God would heal him. So the dad prayed for the dog, and the next day told his daughter to go and check the dog's eye. When she approached the dog, she noticed that his eye was clear and looking better than it ever has. God showed her that He cares for everyone and everything, including the family pets!

This week we heard about a testimony of healing. One member of our congregation was out at a coffee shop, catching up with a friend. After a while, the friend stood up, saying that she couldn't sit any longer because the pain in her knee was unbearable. The man from our church saw this as an opportunity to pray for healing for this women, and with her permission did so right there in the coffee shop. As they were leaving, the lady made it as far as the parking lot before coming to the realisation that she was no longer in any pain. Praise God for rapid healing!
A lady from church was recently on a camping trip and had taken her wedding ring off before showering. She carefully put it in her bag to keep it safe, but when she went to wear her ring again it was missing. She and her husband went searching for the ring, but couldn't find it. They prayed that it would be recovered. The wife wrote up a sign to put in the shower block and went to post it on the wall. While there, she ran into a fellow camper, and she explained about the missing ring to her. As she returned to the campsite, her husband's mobile was ringing, and the person on the other end asked for a description of the ring, then asked the wife to return to the shower block. Upon doing so, she found the camper that she had been speaking to minutes before, who had the ring! Her own children had found it earlier and they were pleased that they were able to give it back to it's rightful owner. The wife is praising God for her meeting up with this camper at the exact right time.

Beginning again...
One of the things I love about this blog is that there is never a shortage of testimonies to write up. One of the things I hate is not having the time to document them rightfully. But the great thing is that the testimonies never stop. God is continually moving in powerful ways throughout our church.
A few members of our congregation have recently spent some time in hospital. One man was struck down with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a serious disorder that affects the nervous system. He was left paralyzed and unable to breathe on his own. Recovery from this syndrome is quite a long process, and this man faced many months in hospital with rehabilitation to follow. The entire church was praying for healing for this man, and remarkably, his recovery time was shortened immensely. Doctors were astonished about how quickly this man was able to recuperate and how fast he was able to go through the rehab stages. We welcomed him back to church this weekend after he was discharged from hospital during the week. Praise God for healing in a time frame unimaginable by doctors!
Another man has recently had an operation on his leg. Several years ago he was in an accident and the bones in his leg were crushed. He endured multiple operations to piece his leg back together. Recently, however, doctors discovered an infection in the leg bone and he needed another operation to removed the infection. He has since had three operations and the damage done to his leg was not as bad as originally expected. He is now home from hospital and is in good spirits. He and his family are grateful for the prayer and support from the church, and believe that the situation is better because of this support.
One of our young members of the church is considered a precious little gift from God. Born with multiple disabilities, and part of her brain missing or malformed, doctors expected her to live out her life in a vegetative state. God has other plans for her, however, and this gorgeous little girl started school a few weeks ago. Since beginning school, she has been proving herself to be a very determined young girl, set out to prove doctors wrong. Last week, she demonstrated to the church congregation how she can give her mother a high-five, astounding us all. This week, we heard of more improvements. At school, when placed in a walking frame, she was able to take a few steps for the very first time in her life. An amazing achievement. Also, while doctors predicted that she may never be able to communicate, it was discovered that she is able to convey "yes" or "no" when asked a question by shaking her head or nodding accordingly. God's love is so evident for, and through, this amazing little girl.
